Eccentric troubadors, Gandalf Murphy and The Slambovian Circus of Dreams, perennial favorites at the Roots on the River Fest in Bellows Falls, VT, will wend their way along the Appalachian Trail from their home near Sleepy Hollow, NY to Brattleboro for the mid-winter celebration of Groundhog Day. As Groundhog Day serves as a harbinger of spring, this year it also foreshadows the impending spring 2008 release of The Circus' much anticipated new CD, 'The Great Unravel' (a choice selection of songs from this new release will be previewed this evening). Favorite and familiar tunes from the band's extensive catalog will also be performed in the warm and intimate setting of The Church, a Victorian styled church located in culturally diverse downtown Brattleboro.

This year's "GRAND SLAMBOVIAN HILLBILLY PIRATE BALL" will be Saturday, Oct. 27th at 8 pm at THE MAUCH CHUNK OPERA HOUSE in the spookily charming coal mining town of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania .
An enchanted evening of majick, music and Halloween festivities is in the works for our fans and anyone else who's adventurous enough to come!!!
... Special set design, lighting effects and surprises are planned for an extra-ordinary Circus experience.
The band will be performing a mix of Circus tunes and Hillbilly-Pirate dance music like you've never heard it before!!!

* Tarot Card readings and Goddess guidance by Sister Lynette Turner
